Fantastic Headshave raises £1,400!
This March, Paul Stokes, a regular at The Corner Pin in Doncaster, decided the time was right to shed his locks for charity!
As The Corner Pin already supported KidsCan with a purple tin on the bar, Paul decided to shave his head for us!
This wasn’t just a regular headshave. Paul’s hair and beard were, as you can see from the picture, quite established!
The publican’s Ruth and Dave Wicks, who are no strangers to fundraising wanted to help Paul as much as possible.
After contacting KidsCan they were supplied with all the sponsorship materials they needed to make the event a success.
We would like to thank Zoe and Ria from Glam Hairdressing in Doncaster (pictured with Ruth and David) for being on hand to help with the head shave. I think we can agree the final result is excellent! One way the team raised their funds was by offernig £1 a snip of hair or beard. This raised over £130 on the day!
Corner Pin Darts Team members Anton and Sandra got involved by helping Paul collect sponsorship as did regulars Sue, Bob from Next Security and Richard from Prestige Private Car Hire. Paul also collected sponsorship from his colleagues at Webtec.
“Enterprise Inns” joined in the fundraising by donating a barrel of beer to be sold with profits going to KidsCan!
KidsCan’s Chris Swinton went to visit the team on Saturday to collect the cheque from this fantastic team of fundraisers!
