Biggins Launches KidsCan Taxis
This week Oldham born actor and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! winner Christopher Biggins launched the You Can, We Can, KidsCan campaign.
The You Can, We Can, KidsCan campaign aims to raise awareness of childhood cancers and deliver the important message that if you can do something small, then we can continue our research and kids can be cured of cancer.
As part of the campaign taxi advertising in Manchester and Liverpool will ask the public to text to donate £3 to help cure children of cancer. It is hoped that £50,000 will be raised to help fund the vital research that is being carried out to improve children’s lives.
Biggins was at the KidsCan office to send the taxis out on the road for the start of the three-month campaign.
He said: “Many people have been touched by cancer and donating £3 is a small thing we can all do to help. “The KidsCan taxis will carry the message around Manchester and Liverpool and let’s hope the generous people in those cities get texting soon!”
Donations can be made by texting ‘KIDSCAN’ to 81400.
